I found an interesting article on the ever ubiquitous (at least in Korea) MP3 players. About five years ago, a 128MB player was priced at $100 or more. Now, you could get a basic 1GB unit for less than $20. Of course if you’d like one with all the bells and whistles then you’ll have to spend more.
While iPod is the most popular brand nowadays, it isn’t the world’s first MP3 player. So which company made it? This article has the answer. Anyway, they can brag all they want that they made the first MP3 player… but iPod makers can laugh all the way to the bank.
I am not a big fan of mp3 players anymore, and I never had an iPod (too many people had it so I got bored of the design). So I went with iRiver Clix. Then I lost it (actually sent it back for warranty repairs and they denied ever getting it), and then I lost it again. Then I gave up and realized I preferred being without one.
