Manny Pacquiao gives back!

Manny Pacquiao is probably the richest boxer now in the Philippines. With four world titles under his belt, he could be one of the most accomplished too. Sorry, I’m not good when it comes to boxing history. The first time I saw Manny Pacquiao fight was in an amateur boxing show on television, IBC 13 and that was ages ago. I don’t even remember how old I was then but I remember the anchors praising him and saying how he would go a long way. Fast forward to 2008…
Now that Manny Pacquiao is so rich he’s giving back to the country. I think it’s a good thing that he didn’t win the elections last year. He could serve the country better with his athletic skills as he inspires a lot of young Filipinos to reach for their goals. He will donate 3 million pesos to the victims of Typhoon Frank and he’ll organize a fund-raising concert too. That’s as much as Yao Ming’s original donation to the victims of Sichuan earthquake and he doesn’t even earn as much as the basketball star. We could only hope more blessings will come Manny’s ways.

Can I ask though – how did you get this picked up and into google news?
Very impressive, is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

the “popularity” is incidental… i’ve been blogging about stuff that concerns me, big or small, for more than 4 years 🙂
