Last January 18, the 2007 Asia Model Award was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Seoul. I read about the awards night on http://abs-cbnnews.com last Monday. Sorry, I forgot the article’s URL and the website’s search feature doesn’t seem to be working correctly.
Iza Calzado and Robbie Mananquil were recognized as Star Models of Philippines. Goong’s Joo Ji Hun and Fantasy Couple’s Han Ye Sul received the same award for Korea. Other models from Uzbekistan, China, Japan and the USA were awarded as well.
Iza Calzado wore a sexy purple gown. She delivered her acceptance speech in English. (Han Ye Sul delivered her speech both in Korean and English, and was criticized by the netizens for the latter.)
