eFM 101.3

tbs eFM is marketed as Korea’s first all-English radio station FOR FOREIGNERS. My classmates told me about this station two weeks ago. (They’re my source for a lot of the news about English in Korea.) This station is intended for foreigners but I think it will be a bigger benefit for Koreans who are learning English. There is another all-English FM radio station and that is 102.7 Eagle FM, which is operated by the US AFN. This is what me and my husband listen to.
I haven’t tuned in to eFM but I listened for a minute online. They broadcast from 6 o’clock in the morning until 12 midnight. Their DJs are composed of Koreans and caucasians. Their programs are divided into news and current affairs, arts and culture and music. If you’re curious and want to listen to their broadcast (click on the “ON AIR” button on the top left side), their website is http://tbsefm.seoul.kr
Enjoy!

  1. I love the blog. Thanks for posting about the radio station. My name is Dan Gray and I’m the writer for the 11-12pm show, Soul of Asia with Sara Kim. I was wondering if I could talk to you about being on the show. I think it would be great to get a Pinoy’s perspective of Korea.
    thanks,
