Snowy weekend

^^ Yesterday
We welcomed “ip-chun” (Hangeul: 입춘) on February 4th. In the lunar calendar, it means the “onset of spring”. The weather last week was really nice with mostly clear skies and higher temperatures. As I was preparing to put away the electric blanket, it’s cold once again and we had snow showers yesterday and today. Forecast for the coming “seol-nal” weekend (or “seollal” – lunar new year) is that we should be expecting snow showers, or maybe just flurries.
Thank heavens never had the heavy snowfall that people in the eastern US of A are experiencing. Otherwise, it would be difficult to walk through “mountains” of snow. I’m pretty sure that life would still go on and workers would be expected to attend to their jobs. 🙂
