  1. I just saw it yesterday at the CGV Cinema here in L.A.’s Koreatown. Great feel-good movie with a strain of optimism and goodwill running through its characters’ seemingly bleak lives. There is a Christian theme, too, but it’s handled in a lighthearted, humorous vein and doesn’t beat you over the head with any messages. Everyone was very good in it, and Yoo AIne really shined (didn’t realize he was so tall!). He’s a really charismatic young actor, and I can already see he has a bright future ahead of him. And finally, Jasmine Lee assayed a very sympathetic migrant-worker mother to Yoo’s character. She started out seemingly timid and mousy but eventually turned out to be a strong, unbowed woman despite her circumstances. All in all, a very good movie.
