We traveled to Gangwondo on the last day of Chuseok. It was another day spent inside the car! What made it worthwhile is the view of Korea’s countryside, plus I get to try the specialties of the places we visit.
It is already the first day of October. The days are cooler but most trees haven’t changed colors. Here is the schedule of autumn/fall foliage of the mountains in Korea. I got the information from the Korea Meteorological Agency or KMA. I romanized the names of the mountain and made a table of the schedule.
If you’re planning to visit Korea this month, check out the schedule if you want to visit the mountains.
It is best to visit the mountains at the peak of the autumn foliage. Bukhansan in Seoul will have its fall leaves peak by October 25. While waiting for the trees to change colors, why not join the Hello Fall Cash Giveaway for a chance to win 1,000 USD in cold cash!
Hi Ms. betchay, Nov 10 to 14 trip namin ng friends ko sa S.Korea. May makita pa kaya kming magagndang dahon. hihi. Balak nmin punta sa Seoraksan at Nami Island eh.
Hi, Betchay! I hope to go to Seoul on November 4-9. Do you think meron pa akong maaabutan na dahon na malapit lang sa Seoul? Yun talaga kasi purpose ko. 🙁 Saang mountain nearest sa Seoul and how do I get there? Thanks in advance!
Hello! I will be visiting Seoraksan on October 21. Will that still be a good time to visit even if it’s 4 days after the peak (October 17)? Salamat!
That would be perfect! I have only been to Seoraksan once in autumn and it’s breathtakingly beautiful!
