Inside the ITX-Cheongchun Train

I miss riding the trains and I don’t mean subway trains, but the Korean trains that takes you to the provinces. The last train ride I had was with my son when we went to Namiseom together while my husband was away on a business trip. I booked round trip tickets on the ITX-Cheongchun line but I missed the train from Cheongnyangni to Gapyeong. Luckily, we were still able to take the train on the way back to Seoul. We sat on the second floor of the fifth car.

The seats are comfy and the side table very convenient.

If you get thirsty along the way, there is a vending machine on board…

We were seated on the fifth car and this sign made it easier for me to find places…

Based on the sign above, there is a nursery inside the sixth train, vending machines and trash bins on the third and fifth cars, restroom on the sixth car and a restroom for the handicapped on the third car. There is free WiFi on board and outlets to plug in your gadgets (usually behind the last seats).

The next time you travel in Korea, make sure to take the train. It’s an experience by itself.

    1. You can take the ITX from Yongsan (Wangsimni or Cheongnyangni stations too) and then get off at Gapyeong Stn.
