The “BEST of ASEAN” starts today November 27th until December 14th. There are three festivals in this program: Jewels of ASEAN, ASEAN Filmfest and ASEAN on Wheels.
Jewels of ASEAN will feature the “jewels” or landmarks of the member countries in an exhibit at Gwanghwamun Square. The exhibit runs from December 2nd to December 14th. The Philippines will showcase the “Banawe Rice Terraces”
ASEAN on Wheels is a culture-filled bus that will tour the different cities of the country to introduce ASEAN culture to Koreans. The bus will run from December 3rd to 13th.
The ASEAN Film Festival will run from November 27th to December 4th at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. The venue is located near Gyeongbokgung.
The Filipino film “Sana Dati” (If Only) starring Lovi Poe and Paulo Avelino is featured on November 30th at 12nn and on December 4th at 3pm. The director, Jerrold Tarog, is a special guest at the screening.
The Singaporean film “Iloilo” is from Singapore but is a story of a busy Singaporean family with a Filipino domestic helper. It will also be shown on Sunday, November 30th at 3pm.
Tickets are free on a first come-first served basis. The ticket office will open at 11am on Sunday and only one ticket is allowed per person.
