I learned this about a month ago ~ Facebook’s Filtered Requests.
What is it? If you check your message inbox on Facebook, you’ll see the label “Message Requests” which used to be the “Other” folder. These are messages from people who are not in our “friends” list. To reply to these “Message Requests”, we need to click “Accept”.
If you continuously scroll down the “Message Requests”, you’ll find the “See Filtered Requests” label…
Click on that and wait for more messages to come up. You’ll notice that the opacity of these messages is lesser than the other inboxes.
I was shocked to see that I had messages in 2007 that I have not read.
If you check the messages on your PC browser (not the smartphone app), you could also see “Filtered Requests” from Facebook groups and pages that have sent you messages. I didn’t know about that until now ~ also you could check the number of Facebook filtered requests you have.
I had messages from people asking for information, help and even employment.
