As posted earlier, Sen. Manny Pacquiao and family are in Seoul to celebrate the holiday season. They were invited by “The K Hotel” and “Wichal Cosmetics” to participate in a charity bazaar, fan signing and 7080 concert. Manny arrived in Seoul in the morning of December 23rd and he had a press conference attended by the Korean press.
Manny’s fan meeting event was held on December 24th and 25th. DJ Gennie of Multicultural Broadcasting attended the event on Christmas Eve at the Grand Ballroom of The K Hotel. She met Manny’s wife Jinkee and her sister ~
And since the family is there with Manny, DJ Gennie also got the chance to take selfies with the senator’s two elder sons ~
The charity bazaar began at around 10 o’clock in the morning while the fan meeting with Manny Pacquaio started at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. There were some entertainment and apparently, some famous Korean singers were in attendance for the show.
When the fan signing started, DJ Gennie lined up with 27 sheets of paper! Manny Pacquiao readily signed each sheet ~ and his strong hand didn’t give up!
DJ Gennie even prepared one for us ~
All in all, it was a good experience for Ms. Gennie Kim. Though she had to shell out 100,000 won for the concert, the chance of meeting one of the Philippines’ most famous citizen is worth the bucks she paid for. He is an inspiration to millions of Filipinos for his sheer hard work in reaching his ambitions and financial goals. She also went home with lots of gifts ~ including a T-shirt from one of Manny’s famous fights, cosmetics and a Christmas cake.
Of course, the senator and his wife left messages for all the Filipinos in Korea:
And from Jinkee ~
After the event last Saturday, the Pacquaio family went to COEX and Lotte World for some fun time and shopping. We hope that Sen. Pacquiao will visit us again in Korea and meet with more Filipinos.
