The Minimum Wage Commission said that it was decided at 11PM on July 15, 2017 the minimum wage for the year 2018. There will be an increase of 16.4% to the prevailing minimum wage which is currently 6,470 won. This means that the minimum wage for 2018 will be 7,530 won.
The finalized minimum wage for 2018 will be announced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor on August 5th.
