October seems to be a “festival month” in Korea. There are so many festivals happening all over the country and some are simultaneous. Just like the drum festival and Asia Song Festival that will both start on the 3rd of October until the 5th and the fireworks festival which will be on the 4th!
I’ve never been to a “Seoul International Fireworks Festival.” We tried to go attend one before but it’s always full of people. One time, we thought that we’ll just watch the fireworks from Seoul Tower but tens of thousands of Seoulites had the same idea.
The 2008 Seoul International Fireworks Festival (SIFF) will be on October 4th and it will be held at the same venue where it’s been held for years, Yeouido Hangang Park. To get there, just take the subway and get off at either the Yeouido or Yeouinaru stations on line 5.
I wish I could go there but I wouldn’t want to be with thousands of Koreans at one time. I have a toddler, so we’ll just try our luck again at the Seoul Tower. The city would surely need an air purifier after the fireworks are gone.
from the look of the picture the coming Fireworks Festival is truly a much awaited event.. here in the Philippines there is a Fireworks contest participated by different countries and manufacturers and it was great seeing those fireworks light the sky at night.. 🙂
Hmmz the fireworks there have always been really great..
