After my Myeongdong visit last week, I took the 0013 bus to Dongdaemun. I thought of buying a pair of shoes for my son. His feet just keep getting bigger!
Getting off the bus, I cursed the city government that there’s no pedestrian crossing to get to the department stores. I needed to walk some more to get to the underground passage. Since I really hate underground passages, I decided to just go home and order online.
It’s already the middle of February and yet the main stores in Dongdaemun have not taken down their Christmas decorations and greetings. Are they trying to beat the Philippines’ long Christmas season? Hmm….
Dongdaemun is a cheap place to shop but it’s still a lot cheaper to shop online where you can compare prices and get free shipping on sale items too!

Hello A/P M (their billboard reads “What are you doing Christmas?”)

Here’s the newest shopping building in Dongdaemun: Good Morning City!

Pigeons in the middle of cold weather, pollution and traffic (autos and people)!

What’s the point of having Christmas decorations that late? I can kinda see the point of hanging them early as in “people will start buying presents 3 months earlier” but now? Great pics btw, realy love the “Doota” one.
Hi!
What a wonderful building. Love to see so many billboards around.
See ya.

I was hesitant to spend even 1000 won during my first month in Korea. Of course, 1000 is nominally prohibitive considering what 1000pesos can buy in the Philippines. Came month 2. Hayan, I bought na 10,000 won shirt. Guilty pleasure opened up my wallet to further spending. Laman na ko ng Doota non and Milgiore and haggling for 40,000 clothes has been a normal shopping activity. Wala ng guilty guilty! Shop lang ng shop! hehehe.
I miss these buildings!
