The Catholic University of Korea invites applications for full-time, tenure track positions in a range of disciplines. Position Details
-Status: Tenure-Track
-Initial Contract: 2 years, with options of renewal or conversion to tenure
-Salary Range: 20,000,000-40,000,000 KRW (Approx. $15,600-$31,200 USD)
-Benefits: Health insurance coverage, free on-campus housing (not including utilities)
Main Duties and Responsibilities
– Teaching: 9 hours per week
– Research: Conduct research projects
Requirements
Each candidate must be a foreign citizen and have earned a Ph.D. by the September 2009 or March 2010 start date, and will be expected to lecture in English. Excellent competence in oral and written English is essential for each position, and native-level competence will be regarded as highly desirable in assessing applications.

– Accounting PhD; must be able to graduate courses.

  2. I second the motion to Hale’s enquiry! I’d like/love to be working and living in Korea if I can find an opportunity. I have been learning to speak language and can now read/write but still have to struggle to understand most of the phrases etc. Wld appreciate any feedback on this pls. Thnx a bunch!
