Road for Hope concert

When Jaz Lee posted on her FB account about her VIP tickets to the Road for Hope concert, I immediately asked her to reserve one for me. I thought it was a car show or something where I could see some nice cars and Ferrari parts. LOL

Road for Hope is a KBS sponsored project which sent eight Korean stars to eight different countries to give hope to the less fortunate as Korea’s way of giving back for the help it received when it was one of the poorest countries in the world.
The actors: Jeon Gwan Ryul (Jumong), Han Go Eun, Park Shin Yang (Lovers in Paris), Yoo Seung Ho (Jumong), Lee Sung Jae (Public Enemy), Um Ji Won, Go Doo Sim, and Han Eun Jung visited children in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Peru, Sri Lanka, Bolivia, Uganda and Angola.
The “Road for Hope” concert, which was held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido on November 6th, brought together again the stars and the children they had given the gift of hope to.
The concert, which began at exactly 6PM and was broadcast live, was graced by international stars Connie Talbot (Over the Rainbow), All4One (I Swear and I Don’t Wanna Cry) and Kevin Kern (Return to Love and Thoughts for My Brother). The Korean performers who attended the show are SG Wannabe (who sang Arirang), K. Will and Younha (Gwanghwamoon Sonata), Han Go Eun, Han Eun Jung, Park Shin Yang and Jung In (sang Can You Hear), Lee Seung Jae, In Sooni (Climb Every Mountain and You Raise Me Up with All4One), Girls Generation (Hoot), Supreme Team (Then Then Then), Park Giyoung, Hwayobi and IU (Butterfly, Go Doo Shim and Im Tae Gyung (Nella Fantasia). In the end, all the artists went back on stage and sang the theme song “Gift”. My husband said we were shown on TV at the last part.
All the performers were great and they all sang live, except for the Girls Generation. Jasmine’s kids were excited seeing the girls perform. Kevin Kern made me feel melancholic when he played Return to Love, which was one of the theme songs of “Autumn Story”. In Sooni, All4One and Im Tae Gyung are all amazing! It was a wonderful, magical night for me. We were seated at the 10th row and we had so much fun. The reception held afterwards was even more fun!
