Ready for spring flowers 2013?

Sansuyu tree is ready for spring!
Sansuyu tree is ready for spring!

Although spring has started, the flowers aren’t all fully bloomed yet. In fact, the sansuyu (Japanese dogwood) trees where I live are just starting to wake up from their dormancy. It will only be a matter of days before the streets and the parks of Seoul are alive with colorful flowers of spring.
From April 12th to 18th, don’t miss the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival. I missed going there last year, but I will definitely make the time to visit in the morning after sending my son to school. See you there!

  1. Going to Seoul next week! Excited to spend Spring there… although, our relatives in the US are worried about tension with North Korea. Is there any reason to worry?

    1. If you watch the news, it’s really worrisome seeing the video of the North Korean soldiers with their tanks, etc. If you don’t watch the news, everything seem to be fine. Today I met with the moms of my son’s class and nothing was mentioned about North Korea. At home when my husband arrived, we didn’t talk about it. It would seem like South Koreans are used to the threats of the North.

  2. Hi! Question po ulit πŸ™‚ do you advise that we purchase the T Money Card? How much do we need to load if we’re staying for 4 days and will visit a lot of tour sights? Thank you po πŸ™‚
