That is the title of the Korean movie now showing in cinemas in Korea. The movie stars (two of my faves!) Song Hye Gyo and Kang Dong Won. It is about a young couple whose child has been diagnosed with progeria ~ it’s a genetic disease that promotes aging in children. This is surely a tearjerker!
The Korean title of this movie is ë‘ê·¼ë‘근내ì¸ìƒ ~ ë‘ê·¼ë‘ê·¼ refers to the sound made by the heart ~ palpitating.
The first time I heard about this movie is from a Facebook post of Donnabelle Casipong, a Filipina who acts in the movie with Song Hye Gyo. Her role is that of a foreign laborer.
Donnabelle is a Filipina married to a Korean and they have two children. She was featured in the 60th episode of “Love in Asia” which aired in January, 2007. She was a panelist of the show for a number of times.
Her first stint with acting came when she was included in the short series on KBS Drama Special in April 2012. She was in the drama titled “êµíšŒì˜ì› ì •ì¹˜ì„± 실종사건” with Yoo Oh Seong, a highly respected Korean actor.
My Brilliant Life started showing on September 3 and it’s still on theaters so better catch it while you can.
And here’s the trailer…
