The Philippine basketball team – Gilas Pilipinas – arrived in Korea last Saturday night. Here they are arriving at Incheon Airport before they went out to the arrival area.

They were welcomed by members of the Filipino community and representatives of the Philippine Embassy in Korea. Coach Chot Reyes posted this photo at 8:24 p.m. on September 20th…

Of course, the team was happy to see their “kababayan” in Korea who waited for their arrival. I know someone in the crowd who traveled from the island of Geoje to Incheon just to be there.
Amazing that y'all waited 2 hrs for us "@poyamps82: Such an amazing experience 2 see gilas pilipinas here in Incheon pic.twitter.com/Y8AVdfLjDQ"

And despite arriving at night in Korea on Saturday, they immediately went to practice on Sunday at the Songdo High School.

On Monday, they came cheering for the swimmers of Team Philippines.
On Tuesday, Gilas Pilipinas will have their first game. We won’t be there to support them yet…
My friends and I at “The 601 Habit” will be cheering for Gilas Pilipinas on Thursday, September 25th. See you there!
