I love cosmos! Back in the Philippines, I made a cross-stitch embroidery of a girl picking up cosmos flowers. So here in Korea, I wait for them in early fall. One of the best places to visit for cosmos is Guri Hangang Park, but since the festival has not started I visited Seoul Olympic Park to see their cosmos bushes.
To get there, I took the subway and got off at Olympic Park station on line 5. From exit 3, the area where the cosmos is only 500 meters away. After a short walk, we were at the Rose Garden.
There were roses of every color but these were standouts:
From the rose garden, we followed the path to the exercise machines and we saw the cosmos bushes. It was around 11 o’clock in the morning on a Friday so there weren’t a lot of people. We (and the other visitors) posed and posed for selfies to our heart’s contents ~
Cosmos comes in different colors too ~
At the end of the road, there is a hut and from there one could see the spider flowers of purple, pink and white. Spider flower is called “í’ì ‘ì´ˆ” or poong-jeob-cho in Korean and it’s considered medicinal.
I saw from a friend’s Facebook post that there were lots of people who went to see the flowers last weekend. It is best to visit on weekdays before or after lunchtime.
After taking selfies with the cosmos flowers, my friend and I took the bus to Lotte World Mall where we had lunch at On The Border. The 5th and 6th floors of Lotte World Mall has plenty of restaurants that serve Korean and international food.
Before fall is over, take that trip to Seoul Olympic Park. Cosmos flowers are just so pretty ~ I love them in every color!

Please I really need an invitation to South Korea. My name is Jay I’m from Nigeria. I’d really love to start a new life in Korea and a business too. I really want to invest in Korea. Please help me. I’ll pay you whatever it might cost. I’m very serious
Hi Jay! If you want to invest you could apply for the investor’s visa. You don’t need an invitation but you need financial proof.
I’ve not been there before. I only hear it’s a nice place. 1 weeks invitation is ok

Hi! 🙂 just wanted to ask if in the first week of November, will the flowers be as beautiful as these? Thank you!
Hopefully! We had a long fall season last year, I hope it happens again this year.
