Last February, I saw one of my favorite bands in Seoul. Journey came to the city and performed for the first time ever! I enjoyed the concert so much because I know all the songs that they played ~ except for one. That one song appeared in their Revelation album ~ which I haven’t listened to.
A lot of foreign acts are performing in Seoul this year. Coldplay had a well-attended 2-day concert last April. Sting had a one-night show last week. Ed Sheeran is coming in October ~ but before him Britney Spears! Now I’m not a big fan of Britney Spears but at least I know some of her songs. I have a nephew who is a fan of hers since she debuted her first song. He saw her in her birthday concert in Las Vegas last year and he will be flying to Manila next week. He bought SVIP tickets priced at 28,350 pesos! That’s about 574 USD or 642,000 KRW ~ which is almost three times the price of VVIP seats here in Korea.
Britney Spears will have her show on June 10th, Saturday at the new Gocheok Sky Dome in Geumcheon-gu. It’s a 50-minute train ride for me but it’s the same line so no problem. When the tickets opened for sale last month, I could only get VIP tickets. After they were delivered, I noticed that some of the tickets were available again.

This is the second time that Britney is in Korea. She was here in 2003 to promote her album “In the Zone” and she even wore a hanbok at her press conference. I was already here in Korea and I remember that it was a big deal that she wore a pink hanbok!
