Korean Airlines is the flag carrier of South Korea. They currently have two flights from Incheon to Manila: KE623 (6:45pm) and KE621 (7:45am). However, they announced on June 10 that flights from Incheon to Manila are cancelled until July 31.
The cancelled flights are as follows:
- KE623 – June 11 to 24, operational on June 21
- KE623 – July 1 to 31, reduced to 5/W (Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun)
- KE621 – June 11 to 30, July 1-31

The airlines said that Philippine aviation authorities were not able to give them slots from June 12 to 24. International arrival restrictions and Manila’s quarantine capacity limit arrivals.
Flights from Manila to Incheon are schedules as normal.
Last June 7, the Philippine Embassy facilitated the flight of Filipinos in South Korea to Manila. About 148 Filipino expatriates boarded the flight back home.
The cancellation is unfortunate especially for Filipinos in South Korea who have finished their contracts and are just waiting to go back home. They have to fend for themselves and many are not working. They end up using the money they have saved for food and accommodations. We all know that the cost of living in South Korea is high.
