사람 – person
입니다 – be verb (am, is, are)
Grammar / 문법
입니다 – (pronounced as 임-니-다) is similar to the English “be” verb is/am/are. We use it to make a declarative statement. Its format is honorific polite. Use it when talking to an older person, a person of higher status, a stranger. A few examples:
저는 투안입니다. (Telling your name)
저는 필리핀 사람입니다. (Talking about your nationality)
저는 서른살입니다. (Talking about your age)
