August 25, 2020 – Back to online classes in Seoul from August 26 to September 11

Kindergarten, elementary, middle school, and high school students in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggido will go back to online classes from August 26 to September 11. The announcement was made on the evening of August 24th.

August 24, 2020 – Mask mandate in Seoul, indoor and outdoor

Seoul City Hall has announced that everyone should wear masks in public places, whether indoor or outdoor from August 24 to October 12. The only time that people can take off their masks briefly is when eating or drinking. From October 13th, people not wearing masks will be fined 100,000 won.

August 18, 2020 – Mask mandate in Gyeonggido, fine up to 3 million won

People are required to wear masks in Gyeonggido in public places, indoor or outdoor. The only exception is when eating or drinking. Those who break the law will be fined up to 3 million won.
