Mul naeng myeon

“Mul naeng myeon” is one of my favorite Korean dishes. It’s made up of buckwheat noodles topped with sliced cucumbers, radish, gochujang (red pepper paste) and half an egg. Lots of shikdang (restaurants) sell this goody and I often order it whenever we eat at a Korean restaurant. It’s also cheap, just about $4 per order.
Last October, my husband and I went to Naksan Park (for the first time) and discovered an old eatery that just serves “mul naeng myeon”. I swear it is the best one I’ve tasted. It has been a long time since we last ate there. Today, he went to Naksan Park to exercise. He called me up and invited me to dine there. I was sooooo excited because I really love their naeng myeon.
I got there at 4:48PM, even if we agreed to meet at 4:40PM (don’t know why I’m always late for appointments… ). There was a line outside even if it’s winter. We didn’t have to wait long and we’re seated about 10 minutes after I got there.
We ordered the 2 1/2 servings of the special “naksan naeng myeon”… and boy did we finish them! We didn’t eat dinner anymore. We were too full! We just bought some ice cream from Kosa Mart.
Hmm…. it’s time to go to sleep. I have a class early in the morning. It’s also my husband’s first day at his new job.
